Thank you Mr Hybrid

Can you explain the Malwarbytes log to me again. How do I "take action to fix what is found" ? How do I know whether a log is complete or not? Do you want me to re-post all of these logs again that I find?

At the end of the scans you will have the option to remove any 'threats or 'issues' - do it, remove everything the scans pickup.

When the software ask you if you want a log file then say yes, open it and copy/paste the WHOLE amount of text in the log into a post here.

The log files tell the malware team what is on your PC, if further action needs to be taken and what action that is.

The log files are important as these are the link between them actually sitting in from of your machine, which over the net isn't possible.

It's all laid out in the instructions. If you get stuck just refer to them.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy and Paste the entire report in your next reply.
Extra Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process, if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

  • O2 - BHO: (no name) - {02478D38-C3F9-4efb-9B51-7695ECA05670} - (no file)
  • O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)
  • O18 - Protocol: schmap-help - (no CLSID) - (no file)
  • O23 - Service: McAfee Application Installer Cleanup (0172321225361263) (0172321225361263mcinstcleanup) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\017232~1.EXE
Important: Close all open windows except for HijackThis and then click Fix checked.

Once completed, exit HijackThis and restart the computer to register the changes.

  • Click on the Save list button and specify where you would like to save this file and click Save.
    • When you press Save button a notepad will open with the contents of that file.
  • Copy and paste that list in your reply.
