Default Windows Firewall Vs Zonealarm?

After years of using ZoneAlarm...I attempted to update and ran into problems. Finally unistalled and Windows Firewall kicked in automatically. How good is it...should I bother to reinstall ZoneAlarm or just leave things as it?

Default Windows Firewall Vs Zonealarm?

i had zonealarm, then uninstalled it, but now beginning to regret doing so, I don't think windows firewall is any good, I never get any of the alerts, every site i open up,It just opens up. I even tried setting it as high but nothing. But with zonealarm it brought up an alert each time, that bit was annoying but, alot is better and safer, than none at all.

Default Windows Firewall Vs Zonealarm?

Zone Alarm is preferable to Windows Firewall. Windows Firewall only monitors incoming traffic from the internet. Zone Alarm also monitors outgoing traffic. For instance, Zone Alarm might catch something that's trying to send your personal information out to the internet, where Windows Firewall would not.Make sure you don't run two firewall programs or two antivirus programs at the same time. They can interact and cause conflicts which de-stabilize your computer. Running multiple spyware programs usually does not cause a problem.
