Hi all, I am looking for email server software but don’t know any.
The reason is I am writing a report at college about E-mail and how it works (oh lucky me ) and part of it is about the software used. Can any one help me? Sean |

On a Microsoft Operating System? I've used www.mailenable.com and it's effective.
be very careful not to leave your system running as an open mail relay or you'll upset your ISP beyond your wildest dreams. Ask if you get stuck. My System: Tim

I would suggest SmarterMail. Really nice interface and theres an unlimited and full version demo for download if you only have 10 accounts.
Its what I use on my mail server.

Out of interest, does account there mean a ten username limit or a ten domain limit?

Otherwise you have full functionality of the enterprise version. The full version of the Pro edition is $300 for 50 domains. With the free edition I have email on my mobile phone for free, sent directly from the server at my house :)

Perhaps you'd like to take a quick look at mailenable and give your opinion on how it compares.

I might but the first thing that is lacking with the free edition from MailEnable is webmail which I absolutely need.
But I would also like to try out Roundcube which is supposed to be outstanding in terms of its interface.
