If I try to send emails using my windows mail, they go into the outbox but will not send. Can any one help please. Windows Vista

If you have not changed any of the settings it is likely to be you mail host with a temporary problem, give it 24 hrs and see if it rights itself.

Ok we are now 24 hours later, the emails will still not send, is there anything else I can check. Thanks for your help Just thought I would mention that I can receive emails, but cannot send

Check the Outgoing Server settings are correctly stored in Windows Mail .... go to Tools/Accounts ..... highlight the email A/C, click on the "Properties" button and select the "Server" tab .... make sure the Outgoing Server details are correct.

checked and the outgoing setting is correct

Sometimes things can get corrupted, try deleting the Account then close the Program and set it up again ... this may flush out any glitches.

I have this problem too. I think it's a bug with the program.

If all else fails try this utility and click on the "Clear Outbox" button.

It seems that sometimes the Windows Mail Database becomes corrupted and it mistakenly thinks there is a message stuck, blocking the Outbox ... this stops any further messages from being sent.
