Default Line spacing problem MS Outlook

I've got my lines spacing on 1 when using MS Outlook, but every time I press return it puts me down 2 lines. I've tried all my email settins as well & can't find a way to stop it.
Any help musch appreciated

Try changing the settings in Word.

On some setups Word is run in the background as part of Outlook for the messages.

Thanks Dave Hybrid

That didn't work, but I've found a way.
Create new msg > click on the page > format > paragragh > then change spacing in the before and after fields to 0 instead of auto.
I can't save this as default, so I'll have to do it every message, but I can live with it.

Cheers
