Hi
Yes it should be no problem to setup outlook remotely. ISA is basically a firewall, so may have just been a reason why it wasn't working. The reason that the remote access is not working is probably due to the firewall blocking it. The easiest way to re-configure this is to run the Email and Internet Connection wizard. To do this Go to Server Managment, then go to the to-do list. Then click on connect to the internet. Then the wizard will start, click on next. Then on the next screen click on "Do not change the connection type" Click on next Then the next screen you will have the Web Services configuration. Tick the boxes of the services that you want available. It is outlook web access that you want for remote access to your emails. Click on next. And go through the wizard selected dont change for all the other options. When this is done, try accessing the emails remotely using http://serverIP/exchange Obviously the serverIP you should replace with the public IP address of your internet connection. I hope this help. Let me know you get on. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Many Thanks Leo |

Hi
This a limitation with exchange if you want to send using outlook or outlook web access. If it is a permanent thing, the easiest way would be to in the properties for your user, change your email address on your profile to the one you want to send from. (This is in server management) I hope this helps, if you would like instructions on how to do this just let me know. Many Thanks Leo |
