| Hi!! Its Windows SBS Server 2003 with exhange. There is already a domain setup for mail, however would like to setup another mail domain on the server. So there will be two. The MX records and A record are already setup on the extra domain so it is ready to go. Just have to add the domain to the server. How do I go about this? Thanks In Advance!!!!! Stephen |

| Hi The easiest way to do this is to go into Server Management from the start menu. Once you are in their, click on Advanced Management. Then click on the + beside the YOURDOMAIN (Exchange) option Then click on the + by Recipients. Then click on Recipient Policies, a policy called "Default Policy" should appear in the right hand white space. Right click on this, and click it and then click on Properties. In the box that appears click on the Email Addresses (Policy) tab. Then create a new SMTP Address using the new button at the bottom. The address should be @ followed by your new domain. This should then update all the user accounts with this email address if you have a default setup. So if a user had the email address bob@olddomain.com, they will now have that and bob@newdomain.com. | Hi Excellent, I'm glad you got it working! Setting the server up for webaccess should be pretty simple really. In the default setup exchange allows web access. Probably the easiest way to test this is, on the server if you go into internet explorer and type : http://localhost/exchange into the address bar. You should then be able to see the emails in the web browser. If this has worked, it is simply a process of opening up the firewalls to give access to port 80 on the server from the internet. I think it might be easier if you could check if it works locally on the server and then we can go from there. Also if you could let me know if it is Standard or Premium version you are using? Premium has SQL and ISA server but standard doesn't? I hope this makes sense. Many Thanks Leo |

| Yep it works fine locally. I have port 80 forwarded to the server also. When I type the static ip into my browser (off site) it does'nt go through. Does exhange need other ports open? Or am I suppose to type something after the ip? I tried the ip address followed by /exchange.. however nothing at all. |

| Im honestly not sure. Where would I find this out? I just no it says its Windows Server 2003 for Small Server. |

| Hi Sorry it has taken me so long to reply. Probably the easiest way to tell if you have Premium Or Standard is to check weather you have ISA server installed. You may be able to find this in the start > Programs menu. If it would be of any help to you, I could remote control your server and get this setup right for you. I hope this helps. Many Thanks Leo |

| Nope does'nt seem to have ISA Server installed... Will it still be possible to setup outlook remotely? |

| Hi Yes it should be no problem to setup outlook remotely. ISA is basically a firewall, so may have just been a reason why it wasn't working. The reason that the remote access is not working is probably due to the firewall blocking it. The easiest way to re-configure this is to run the Email and Internet Connection wizard. To do this Go to Server Managment, then go to the to-do list. Then click on connect to the internet. Then the wizard will start, click on next. Then on the next screen click on "Do not change the connection type" Click on next Then the next screen you will have the Web Services configuration. Tick the boxes of the services that you want available. It is outlook web access that you want for remote access to your emails. Click on next. And go through the wizard selected dont change for all the other options. When this is done, try accessing the emails remotely using http://serverIP/exchange Obviously the serverIP you should replace with the public IP address of your internet connection. I hope this help. | Thanks for all your help Leo!! Ive managed to get it all sorted ok. Another quick query. (hav'nt actually tried it yet). Say for instance all the users on the server are say, stephen@originaldomain.com, but I want to send an email out as stephen@newdomain.com, what way would I go about this? Thanks, Stephen |

| Hi This a limitation with exchange if you want to send using outlook or outlook web access. If it is a permanent thing, the easiest way would be to in the properties for your user, change your email address on your profile to the one you want to send from.
