I have a friend whom ive been chatting to on live messenger (v8.1 etc [up to date one] ) for a good number of months, but all of sudden the odd message i sent to her and vica versa wouldnt arrive. [/FONT][/SIZE]

Messengers can be a puzzling beast to figure out when they act up. The first thing I would inspect is if the Java is up to date. Go to add/remove programs and see what version is installed.

Next, try this: click on "Start Now", make sure everything is up to date. http://secunia.com/software_inspector/

If everything seems to check out there then maybe you should try some house cleaning.
