Hi Everyone
I have Office 2007 Professional installed on a computer with XP Home and after installing some office updates I cant send or receive emails in Outlook. I uninstalled office and uninstalled all of the office updates then reinstalled without the updates but still no luck. I disabled my antivirus software and firewall, no luck. I tested my account settings in outlook express and everything works, just not in outlook. When I click the send/receive button the progress dialog box flashes up for a like a quarter of a second and then disappears. No error messages are given either. I have also tried repairing the out look PST file with SCANPST but still nothing.
Can anyone help??? Thanks in advance

Is it a legal, fully genuine copy of Office? If not, problems like this are more than likely as Microsoft gets cleverer (and more restrictive) with their piracy-thwarting efforts.

Check the mail account settings - pop, username, password etc.

Something probably changed during the upgrade.

TRy use - repairing outlook express, program for repairing folders of Outlook Express, extract e-mails from Outlook Express dbx file. Save the repaired Outlook Express messages on disk, save the repaired dbx files in the safe folder, they can be useful, move the repaired messages you have to open simultaneously the Outlook Express and the Windows Explorer, support *.dbx file formats: MS Outlook Express 5/6.
