I have a problem with OE, i deleted all the "Sent Items" and "Deleted Items" but for some reason, it has now used over 1GB of space...I have used Disc Cleanup but no luck, before i deleted them i had 10.21GB now i have 8.82GB

Anyone got any ideas?

That's a bit random as deleting should increase HD space.

Anyway get CCleaner from our downloads section.

It will remove all the temporary files, history and other junk off of your PC.

How much data did it clean off?

Not sure what else to say, when you delete stuff that's exactly what happens.

That program was just to cancel out that the emails were being stored in a temporary folder.

Stupid idea but your recycle bin is empty isn't it?

Other than that maybe you read the storage numbers incorrect.

For the record emails take up very little space anyway.

Recycle bin is empty, would restarting the computer do anything...maybe delete data that it might be storing in the paging file? It got rid of 275MB

You can try.

Are you saying you checked your hard drive space exacly before deleting the emails.

Yep, ive been trying to free up space all day...noticed that i had 201 sent email...some of which were 9000KB (Music & Picture attachments)...So i sent them to the deleted items, then deleted them all from there.

I just deleted 18,000 emails from my inbox.

Total savings 100mb.

So it's pretty impossible to gain space let alone lose 1GB.
