hey i used to have the old version and when i shrunk it down it would still run on the task bar but now it doesnt does anyone know how to keep the program running

Right click on the mail icon in the ststem tray. Check hide window when inbox is minimized.
Then do not exit out of the mail window just minimize it and it will stay active.
