Default YIM Mac usage and Chat Rooms?

I use an iBook and run 10.4 and have YIM. I am not able to find any way to access the regional chat rooms like I am on PC's, is there anyone out there that can point me in the right direction? Thanks

as its not a feature (in yahoo messenger for mac) many Mac users are accessing chat via Charla.."Charla is an open source, full featured Mac OS X application for accessing Yahoo! chat and messenger.
