I recently installed the latest ATi drivers for my x1650 pro card. All was going well until the installation was complete, I changed my resolution back and now everything I click rolls on screen (Like a large bit map does on dial up connections). This happens when I minimize, maximize, press the start button, open the start menu and to top it all off, I cant drag windows around without it lagging like mad or scroll down web pages without it freezing either!
This is really annoying and I don't want to go back to my several month old drivers to get a smooth experience again! Thanks for the help! Razer |

i still use the 8.7 drivers because every time i upgrade everything stops working. the only ting i can say is use the older drivers because it seems the ati unofficially stopped suporting older cards.

That's kind of annoying..
A good friend of mine told me to use a driver cleaner called "Driver Sweeper". I uninstalled the old drivers, ran the sweeper and installed the new drivers. Apart from the CCC doesn't work no matter how many times I install, the drivers are fine now. You might want to try that? |

Yeah, CCC doesn't even budge for me, I've reinstalled numerous times to no avail. It didn't seem to do much good anyway so I'm not too bothered about it. It encounters with MOM.implementation and another .implementation file and just wont open.

i only recently upgraded from a x1650 pro, and i was on XP pro sp3. everytime i updated the graphics software it used to do that, then on reboot it worked fine. if u totally uninstall all ati stuff, then reboot, then install the latest it should work i guess. it sounds like ur system isnt using the new drivers. maybe u need to use the update driver bit in device manager??
