Default AVI File,great picture, but no sound

Hi,

Have downloaded a file (actually its a Monkees TV programme) the picture is great, but no sound,im playing it through real one.and have tried other sources, even Divx, but still no sound,,,,any ideas as to what this could be?

Default AVI File,great picture, but no sound

It could well be you don't have the audio codec needed or it could be there is more than one audio stream in the file and the mediaplayers you're using can't separate them.

Try VLC media player. 0.86b if you can get it, C if you can't. It's freeware so just download.
