VLC media player. Separates audio streams. Supports any encoding type (as long as you have the appropriate codecs).

And its free.

I have been on WinAmp myself for a while now myself.

But I am thinking about going back to Media Monkey You should check it out. I haven't used it in a year or so but it likes like it has had some nice changes.

Windows media player classic

I like it because uses less memory and is very flexible

if u use Win Xp ofcourse

how about in Linux ?!

I use WinAmp for mp3s, as I like it's features, but tend to use Windows Media Player Classic for movies.
It works ok in XP and Vista and is very straight forward ... and as mentioned above, it's free and doesn't hog resources.
There are lots of features, although some are a bit hidden, so you need to hunt around the menu options to see what it can do.

best for webmasters & professionals

if u have just the codecs on ur system u can play anytype of music&video files
