I sent you a PM to get your email address, I tried to upload them here - the txt files are too large.
I saved them as word docs and they're too large too......so I will have to email them to you personally.

OK, I've had a little look at those logs now, I'll admit, most of those means nothing to me, but the part about codecs had a codec listed for MPEG4, so I don't know why it isn't working. Does anyone else think they might have some idea about what these logs say?

I can only view the file in WMP after I have saved the file to my PC and after I have viewed it with my VLC software.

Thoughts?

Not a clue. This is why I stay away from WMP. It's too particular in what it wants to do, and not do, while other players just.... work.

There is probably a WMP expert somewhere who knows how to tweak the settings and make it work. I know switching media players when you don't want to is pretty frustrating.

Did you try this?

You can play back .mp4 media files in Windows Media Player when you install DirectShow-compatible MPEG-4 decoder packs.

DirectShow-compatible MPEG-4 decoder packs include the Ligos LSX-MPEG Player and the EnvivioTV.

For more information about the Ligos LSX-MPEG Player, visit the following Ligos Web site:http://www.ligos.com (http://www.ligos.com)

For more information about EnvivioTV , visit the following Envivio Web site:http://www.envivio.com/products/

I had a similar problem before. I would have a green screen, and sound, but not video. It was .avi, and I changed it to .mp4 and it worked. Try changing the extensions if you can. It could work...
