[FONT=Verdana]Hi, My sysytem is VIA CHIPSET mother board, Celeran 800MHz processor, WIN98 OS, 128MB RAM, 40GB hard disk, LG CD ROM.

Now i want to replace the existing CD ROM with LG GCE-8320B CD-R/RW writer.

I just replaced the New writer, i could open the files from the CD Rom, bt i could not burn the CD.

ie, My system not consitering that is a CD writer, it is considiring as only a CD reader.

Is any driver fils to be installed? if so where can i down load it?

or any links to be changed in the mother board?

Please help me.

may be there is drivers to be installed or may be its plug and play

I think you may just need to purchase some burning software, e.g. Nero or Roxio.
