Hi there hoping you can help me, EVERY TIME i open a folder containing AVI video files i get this box coming up telling me that "COM SURROGATE has stopped working and windows is searching for a solution to this problem" and i was wondering how i could fix this annoying problem? (after it goes away it just comes back up again) i have windows VISTA home premium 32bit.

Try opening the AVI files with VLC,

i DO NOT have problems opening the file i have problems opening the FOLDER!!! not the file eg i open DVIX MOVIES and it pops up then i open the file and clock DVIX MOVIES and no problems PLEASE HELP FURTHER
