I burnt quick time movie files and windows media movie files on dvd but my sony home theatre is not reading the disc it displays message' cannot read disc'. It is compatible to read DVD-RW, DVD+RW but i think it some pb with the file format. what should I do ?

Did you finalise the disk after copying?

You cannot just copy files to a DVD and expect them to work, you will have to convert them into something the DVD player will recognise, lke VCD, DVD-Video and so on

I understand now,I am supposed to convert the file suitable fr player. My system isAMD 2.0GHz, 2GB RAM.OS is Vista Home Basic and ATI HD 3200 Graphics. Pl suggest suitable software fr conversion. Thanks 2 all fr response.
