Does anyone know of some good freeware / software that produces a good DVD menu that you can create?

Currently I have the AVI files that I process in Xilosoft to get the iso image. Xilisoft does have a option to make a menu but is not what I like and your very limited to custom building it.

I guess another question would be how to get the menu to attach itself to the avi file to be created as an iso to watch on a stand alone DVD Player.

I would like to put multiple files on the menu with a back ground and the ability to pick which video to watch.

Thanks in advance,

MPENNEY

If you have a full version of Nero, you can download Nero Vision, from Nero's website, which will allow the creation of simple menus and may do what you need.
However, most free and bundled software is quite limited.
A good authoring program that offers much more is DVD LAB Pro this really can do lots of fancy things, but it's not free.

Here's a tutorial on Nero's website. Note you burn from within Nero Vision, there is no need to create an iso file.

Is there any way to save the way it was burnt to a disk? Thanks, I had Nero and no knowledge of the menu option.

I'm sure Nero converts it to an iso or similar to that nature for it to be playable on a standalsone DVD player. What I meant is there a way to save to the HD instead on directly onto a disk?

Thanks again,

Yep ... it's all in the tutorial ..... on the final screen. Click “Burn-To” or “Write to Hard-Drive”
