Default Defining Bit Torrent , i.e What does Seed/Peers mean

Hi I am using Bit Torrent software which I am paying for. I am downloading movies and on the chart as being a first timer I was wantiing help in defining what this programming means.

Seeds?

Peers?

Downspeed?

Upspeed?

ETA?

Ratio?

I think I may know about the speed and that but can anybowdy help me in detail so atleast I know what is happening. Thank you.

You have also really screwed up if you have paid for some Bit Torrent client...
