Hi

I recently reformatted and reinstalled my HP laptop. I am using Windows XP media center edition, and need help reinstalling my drivers. I seem to have lost the "Driver recovery" and would normally just go to the manufactorers website, but i dont know which drivers i have. I checked the "device manager" under "System" in the control panel but the drivers with the yellow question mark next to them (uninstalled drivers) just say things like "Base system Device," "Coprocessor," "PCI Device," "video Controller," etc... is there any way i can find the manufactorer's of my drivers? thx !!

thx it worked. My graphics look better and i can access the internet from that computer. Although i cant get any sound. The only sound i hear are loud Beeps whenever i do something. Im pretty sure the drivers are installed because all my audio drivers appear to be working in the device manager. Although there is one driver not installed called PCI controller, but its under a different category than the audio. Anyone have any ideas on how i can fix my sound?
thx

For your sound to work i would've thought that it would be in the sound settiings. Just check that nothing is muted. Is your sound on board the motherboard or is it an external card???
