| How might I take the tv shows recorded on HD dvr to computer? I currently will need to upgrade my graphics card for sure but what else will I need to do this? I want to record these shows on DVDs for future viewing. :) |

| looks like it doesnt allow you to stream to your computer, wouldnt expect that. Do you have this from a tv cable company? or did you install it yourself. the only way that you can take the data on the hard drive is to open the unit and take out the hard drive, then connect as a normal harddrive in your computer but this will probably void your warranty. |

| Hey, thanks for the reply ilop12! It's also a satellite receiver, Starchoice, totally legal and paid for. So, I can't hook the dvr up to a tv tuner on the computer and record it that way? How about these dvd recorder things? Anyone use one of those? |

| if you connect that recorder to the output of the dsr then it will work when you playa video |
