Video to Gif.

Not sure such a thing exists.

Gifs are static pictures and, well, video isn't.

A .Gif file type is basically a preview of a photo, or a picture taken (generally) from a .mpeg or .Raw source.

Much lower quality and resolution.

I'm also unsure if such a converter is available.

I was wondering. If it is Avatars they are trying to make then UnFREEz will do the job. I have not used it but is supposed to be pretty straight forward. And Free.

UnFREEz is a high-speed Windows application that will take any number of images, saved as separate GIF files, and create a single animated GIF from those images.

By the sounds of it, it seems like you want to convert a bunch of frames in a video into individual images. My idea is crude, but it will work. Try using Flash. Import your video into your timeline, and then let Flash export each frame individually as images. Mind you, there is a good chance you will loose your audio in your GIFs :P

If you simply want to make still pictures from a video then most photo editing software will do it fine.

Right what I was getting is that is that I gave a video of me fighting and he made it into a moving picture (which I thought were called Gif) I think the link evilfantasy will be what im looking for. Sorry for any confusion. If my link works this is what my friend made from a video I sent him. i would ask him what he used but I haven't seen him online in a while. (im on the right)

True but some forums I have been on so many people go out of there way to be really unhelpful.
