Default Help, Audio Driver Not Installed

Best I could find that Motherboard uses the realtek AC97 onboard sound. Is that correct or do you have a sound card installed? Here is a link to the AC97 drivers. Now as far as WHICH driver you need. That link will take you to a page on the Realtek site for the AC97 audio codecs. You will need to check the box that says: "I accept the above" and hit next. The screen will flash and you will still be on the same scrren except that now the box is checked. Hit Next again.

Now you will be on the page to download your drivers. You have several options and they mostly deal with the type of operating system you have. If you have VIsta or Win7 you will have to download a zip file for your drivers. For any other OS you should download the executable (.exe). The exe for any Windows other than vista, Win7 and Win95 should be the second option. Click the word Go from one of the choices on the right of the column containing your OS. Don't click the one in the Express box. You aren't registered there so it won't work. i have found that getting drivers from Realtek takes a long time compared to other downloads, so don't worry if it says it will be a while.

Hope this helps.
