Default Help With Multimedia Plugins

Hey people I'm building a multimedia player inc#
using visual studio and i wish to be able to connect
mp3 encoder plugin's and so on to it. does anybody
have any information on how to accomplish this ??
if so this information would be much appreciated.

So do you want to encode files to MP3 or do you want to play MP3s? Or both?
To me your message is a bit unclear, but either way I would recommend codeproject.com since I know for fact that projects in those directions have been done over there.

There used to be an activex plugin, mmplayer I think. I am a bit rusty on this.

Sorry i wasn't more clear yes i need the application
to both play and convert mp3 through a plugin.

I don't think codeproject has an all-in-one project, but take a look at these:
Aumplib (all kinds of conversion) or just MP3s
MP3s with MCI and some more MCI

No, but using MCI and/or DirectShow you should be able to do so.
