Until recently I lived with two other guys sharing a 3 bedroom apartment. We have a single desktop computer in the livingroom. A couple days ago I caught one of my room mates looking at porn on the computer, which was against the rules for that computer, as other friends come over and use that computer also. Because of this and some other rules he broke, that roomie no longer lives with us. So there's the set-up. Here's the problem. The former room mate was watching porn movies on the Windows Media Player. As that was the last thing he watched, it is staying in the list of playable media. How do I delete this file so that someone--for instance my girlfriend or her 12 year old sister--doesn't accidentally encounter that media. I am not an expert with computers, obviously, and I don't have the extra cash to pay someone to fix this issue. Thanks for your help!

Thanks for your response. I've tried that, but it doesn't give me the option to delete that file. The dropdown list I get has: Play, Add To, Remove From List, Properties. I've tried to Remove From List, but it isn't permanent. Every time you open Windows Media Player and just hit the Play icon at the bottom of the screen, it goes to this porn video file and starts buffering it for play. Man, what a pain. If I were a violent person I'd give our ex roommate a beat down.

In windows media goto Tools->Options and select the tab Privacy Then Click: Clear HIstory, and Clear Cache that should do it

Haun, Thanks for the input! I think I figured something out about Windows Media Player. It keeps the most recently played file, whether sound or video, in its short term memory (I'm guessing that's the "cache" you mentioned?). So what I ended up doing is playing a different media file, and now that is the file that plays when you hit the Play button. However, I also followed your advice and utilized the Clear History and Clear Cache buttons in the Privacy menu. Thank you for your help!
