| I recently built a new PC. At first my printer was working fine. Then all of a sudden I was getting messages that the printer connection was lost. Now i can't print. I can print a test page, but nothing else. I tried installing new drivers etc. i thought perhaps my printer had just died and nothing more. Before rushing out to get a new one, I hooked it up to my old PC and tested it & it works fine. So, I've decided to uninstall all of the drivers for the printer in the new build. But when I try to, it says another application is using my printer drivers. How can I identify that app. so i can uninstall and reinstall the drivers? Thanx |

| I would first close any programs that you don't need running. Also, I would clean up the system tray. Finally, I would turn off the printer physically and then try to uninstall. If uninstalling the printer drivers still don't work, you can try uninstalling through device manager, or through printers and faxes. If all of that doesn't work, then I would go ahead and to virus and spyware scans with up-to-date definitions. |
