Default I can get sound but..............

just got the the main adobe.com site. however i think it may be a registry problem

i hugely recommend a system restore point before you do this as im not a genius when it comes registry but this seems a popular solution for XP, i cant find a solution for vista so this is why im saying to make a restore point

copy the following text to a text file (including the "Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00"):

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32]
"midimapper"="midimap.dll"
"msacm.imaadpcm"="imaadp32.acm"
"msacm.msadpcm"="msadp32.acm"
"msacm.msg711"="msg711.acm"

"wave4"="wdmaud.drv"
"midi4"="wdmaud.drv"

Save it as missing.reg (Make sure you include the Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 line) and then go to the your registry and import the newly created file.

do what the gentleman asked you to do, then simply click on the file you created. Remember to save it as missing.reg (the .reg part is the important part) you will then be asked to import the contents into the registry. do it. Its easy.
