Not really, they are two completly different cards, using different drivers etc.

its an easy answer its your PSU. im sure of it. whats your PSU if you run a 7600 gs you need at least a 420 Watt any less and the card is nothing more then a MOBO killer. upgrade your PSU and it will work just fine. if thats not the case which dout... make sure you delete all your past nvidia drivers from your harddrive and even though you may have uninstalled them from your pc through the control panle you may still need to get into your C: drive and look for the nvida driver file and delete them.
