My computer is built with custom parts, so when I formatted my computer to get rid of a virus, I also lost my ethernet drive. Through talking on a phone with a computer expert he explained to me that I need to look at my devices, and there was my ethernet with a great big (?)

Since its made with custom pieces, I don't know where to find the driver that will work. Are there universal drivers? Will I ever be able to recover it?

no to your question
you need to take any numbers or ID off of the card and put them into google and see what came back.download

Cards are cheap so you could just buy another one
