What's the best (fastest?) easy to use FREE software for converting video files - in particular .flv files (youtube). I want to convert them to .mov and .avi files. They're not for commercial use - just my own home use.

Try SUPER, it looks horrible and the website is near unnavigable, but it works like a charm.

If you just want to play them then realplayer or VLC will do it.

Thanks - I have he VLC player and it works fine.
But......
I want to be able to put them into a format so that I can use my DVD software to have a bunch of the selected Youtube videos burnt to DVD and watch them on my TV.

I've always found this to be much more usable for FLV conversions than Super.

Super is just too messy for me.
