I'm guessing this would be a right place to post this here. I ****** up big with my other computer and other tech. support forums are shunning me figure you guys could help me out. If this is the wrong place, please move the topic. thanks

Alright this started a week ago when I wanted to put in some more space on my other computer. I found one of my old hard drives lying around and I decided to stick it in When I rebooted the HDD installed but I got this message:

so I reformatted the HDD, then system restored. then it seemed that the drivers came back so I didn't worry any longer about it.

Then 2 days later that hard drive wizard message came back along with the "windows has found new hardware" pop-up. I system restored to an earlier date, and rebooted a couple times the drivers still were not coming back I figured no extra space was worth this and ripped out the hard drive after a few quick restarts the drivers finally came back again. I figured it was purely luck and was all over...

Until today. The ****** came back! I tried everything stated above and nothing was working I even ran pointless virus scans and took out the card and moved it to another slot on the motherboard (which by my luck, did nothing.) I finally gave up after my 15th attempt.

I'm at wits end I have no idea why its doing this and unless those drivers come back I'm never going to get the internet back and I'll have to be forced to sharing my own computer with my mother and my siblings once again I had to leech of theirs for 1/2 a year while my computer was going through serious repairs.

If you can, please help? Thank you.

I have windows XP Pro SP2. any other technical details will have to be asked because i don't know on hand.

How do you connect to the INternet ? ... i.e. wirelessly to a Router or direct through a router or modem ?
Do you know the make/model of your motherboard ?
Have you got any yellow exclamation marks showing in Device Manager ?
