Default ITunes compatibility

Hello once again,
My girlfriend has deserted her ipod for about a year now, but all of a sudden shes decided to start using it again. But since then she has lost the installation disk for itunes and had her comp formatted. Meaning ill have to download itunes from filehippo or somewhere, but my question is would it be a matter of downloading itunes, installing it and then sticking the ipod into my comp to start deleting and adding new songs? or do i need the disk.

nope all you need is a copy of itunes, just go onto the apple website and download from there, please note that seeing as she has had her computer reformatted since it was last plugged in it will be a different itunes library this means it will wipe the ipod if you tell it too, you will be unable to add or delete songs tell you do this, if songs are purchased it may give you the option of taking the purchased songs from your ipod back onto the computer, but she must remember the username and password she used to download the songs from itunes, otherwise they will be unplayable.

you use realplayer to add or delete songs though, but this is not as neat as itunes is.

if you are wanting to take all the music from the ipod, even if you have the copies of it but you dont want to wait ages pulling them all from the cd's then just say, you dont need to remember a password or username for songs that you put on without purchasing songs, the way i would show you is kind of hidden but difficult to do sometimes
