I have load the software CD for my ipod 20GB 4Gen on windows vista, the final instruction to restart my computer failed. Tried restarting and shut down from the start menu but computer wouldn't shutdown. In the end I used on/off button to reboot.
Launched itunes and when importing on the first or second track of a CD a pop-up appears 'Microsoft Windows - itunes has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and nofity you if a solution is possible'
I have downloaded itunes 7.5 from apple.com.
Tried to import a CD again and I get the same message as before on the first or second track. I have only managed to import one track before this message appears. Do I have a compatibility problem or have I had a problem with loading the software cd causing the computer not to switch off.

Re-install Quicktime.
