Default Missing driver, or something? Please help.

So I had to reinstall Vista, home premium 32 bit, onto my Dell Inspiron 1520. Once finished, I used the driver CD that came with my laptop, and got everything working. I thought so anyway.

Heres the problem. I was testing stuff, like programs and so on, and i opened up Limewire, it would not connect/ froze each time. So i wanted to see if it was my computer, or the program. So i got other P2P programs but the same problem occurred.

Now this laptop is networked with the PC that is also in this house, and i tried P2P programs on that computer, and they work fine.

The thing is that my internet connection also messes up when these programs are in use, idle or actually doing something. Other then that theres no apparent problems. Oh and these programs worked fine BEFORE i reinstalled vista, and this is whats leading me to think its a driver/program i forget to reinstall.

So what im wondering is if there is a driver, a default one for example, that i forget to download? Any other suggestions for this would be greatly helpful.

What do you mean by "your internet connection messes up" ? does it freeze, run slow or ??

Limewire acts as a server and can use your bandwidth uploading as well as downloading and is generally bad news for contracting trojans, hijackers etc., but does not require drivers, so your problem is unlikely to be driver related.

If everything else is behaving ok, then maybe the version of Limewire you have has become corrupted or you have some Malware on the system.
