I'm having a problem with my Sony Ericsson Phone, I have the P990i, well I've only just started using it, and I'm trying to synchronise it with my PC.

It comes with a CD, but I downloaded the latest version as it wouldn't work with the CD program. But now when trying to re-install I get the error:
Quote:
Error 1713.PC Suite for Sony Ericsson cannot install one of it's required products. Contact your technical support group.
So I think the last uninstall missed something, I used add & remove programs to remove.

So I'm basically wanting to know if there is a way to remove what ever is left (I don't know what is left though) whether it's something in the registry, or just some files somewhere. I have had a look through program files, but can't see anything that looks like it was left behind, but I can't be sure.

Thanks for your help

I thought about it, but I know how careful you need to be with the registry, so wanted some advice on if I should do it or not first.

the one in ccleaner only removes unused entries, ive always used it when ive uninstalled software, and it removes a staggering amount!
