Default Not enough space using 4.7gb blank DVD??strange

I was wondering if you can help. I have just burnt a dvd movie using nero 7 which was fantastic. My blank DVD can hold 4.7gig. An avreage movie is 750 mb. I have tried to burn 2 movies now and it states there is not enough space?
Am I doing anything wrong.Thank you . Tony

If you already burnt one movie, you can't burn another, unless the disk is rewritable. And if you burnt it with Nero's DVD-Video maker, You can only fit 2 hours of video on a 4.7GB DVD. If you burnt it by Making a Data disk, you can't view it on DVD players, whereas you can if you make a DVD-video.

Waht are you burning in Nero ? .... i.e. a vobset (.ifo .bup & .vob files) or ???

Also a DVDR cannot hold 4.7gb .... the max you will get is 4.37gb /4.38gb, dependant on media type (+r / -r).

You should try DVD-9, they hold around 4-5 hours I think, so it might be just right for you.

I'm not so sure where to get them either . Shops that sell normal DVD's might have some. Or you could try looking on the internet...
