Hi
I took nero off my computer because I was having no-end of problems with it taking over everything. Now I can't play my music files because wmp and quicktime can't read the files with the .nrg extention.

What codec do I need so I can open these large .nrg files I have?

Do I have to install Nero again? I hope not.

When I was uninstalling Nero I was prompted with a message "if you remove this file some of your programs may not work properly" - some such message. Why would I get that message when my programs worked perfectly fine before I installed Nero. Now they don't work for me? I don't understand how this works.

Thoughts?

I get the error before I even try to open the files. When I place the flash card into the reader in my tower I get the DEP error when I click on the flashcard location - before I even try to view the photos or videos on the flashcard. I guess "Windows" is trying to protect my computer from QuickTime.

I never got the error before I removed Nero from my computer - maybe I removed a file I shouldn't have at that time?

Files with the .nrg extension are proprietary of Nero. I do not belive you can just rename the files from .nrg to........

I think that you can use "daemon-tools" to mount .nrg files and then use DVDDecrypter to burn it.
