Hi guys,
just wondered whether or not anyone out there can recommend a good, preferably free, programme for storing photos.
I need one that is simple to use, can create individual albums & has a few standard editing features such as red eye reduction etc, etc..
Am currently using Picasa2, and I hate it !!!
It just keeps re-generating photos so I now have several copies of each piccy dotted all over the place.
I dare'nt delete the programme in case it takes all my photos with it.
Would really appreciate your help as always,
Slime.

P.S. I don't need fancy editing tools, just a few basic ones, I just want something that will store my pics in a simple manner.

The images are stored on your hard drive so uninstalling Picasa will not remove them.

While there are free ones they all have some quirk that is annoying in my opinion.

Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition
FastStone Image Viewer

Have you tried Picasa Web Albums?

Free online storage.

Do you have office? what windows do you have? XP or Vista? Everyone bitches about Vista but the feature you want is in vista. I'm pretty sure it's in XP though I'm a couple of years past XP. I KNOW it's in office.

I'm currently on my Vista machine, if you are on Vista what you want is Windows photo gallery. if you have office it would be......... crap I can't find the name lol. Sorry. Let me sober up and I can tell ou what it is. From what you said though, the basic windows program, XP or Vista, has what you want.
