First where did you get the driver? Are you sure it isn't a .cab file?
What problems sre you having, which media player etc. |

i got the driver from the website of the people who made my sound card which is c-media electronics and yes im sure theres no cab file .... i have just installed windows again after formatting my computer so that is why i need the driver when i open windows media player it comes up with .... windows cannot play your file because there is a problem with your sound device there might not be a sound device installed on your computer it might be in use by another process or it might not be functioning properly

WMP is notorious for not having codecs and this will usually straighten it out alot of other issues. http://www.filehippo.com/download_klite_codec_pack/
Not sure on your PC but my audio drivers are in C:\drivers\audio\onboard |

Open control panel>system>device manager.

Then find the sound card in the tree menus, it will probably have a warning sign next to it. Open>properties>update driver on one of the tabs, then point it at the files you unzipped. My System: Hybr!d

Whooop! I was expecting you to come back with more questions then when you started.
Good effort and you're welcome. :) |
