Default Poor Video playback

Hi all. My problem is this. When I try to watch some videos the screen appears like a negative but in primary colours? Mainly green...And in other videos, like demos on the Microsoft site, there is sound but no video....I have downloaded the latest drivers for my card, ATI Radeon X1950 pro, and the latest codec pack..But still no improvement. Does anyone have any ideas?
Cheers

Give us an example of the type of file causing the problem.
There are many different types of video file, but without knowing the type, I doubt anyone here will be able to help.
Also some website demos etc., require the use Flash and other plugins.

Is this in Windows Media Player? If it is, make sure you have updated to the latest version, I've had that problem before, updating to the latest version of WMP has solved it each time for me.

Thanks for that Thingy, I feel a little embarrassed for not looking at the obvious first. I downloaded the latest media player and Flach player and all is well. Sorry to waste your time guys, I'll check the obvious first next time..

No problem, it's better having to fix a simple issue like that than something more complicated

Glad you got it working anyway.
