Default Problem With Windows Media Player

I have a HP lap top with Windows XP home edition 2002 , service pack 2. I have owned the computer for about 2 years and never had a problem with windows media until about 12 months ago. I took every bit of software including windows xp and put it all back on again. On doing this i found that windows media wont play radio stations from the internet and certain video files from webistes. However if i save the video file , it will then play it. The main problem is though the radio stations that I listen to. The main radio station is found on the following webiste http://www2.talksport.net/.

I have tried installing windows media several times and have tried using windows media 10 and 9 but still with the same results. I have also tried downlodaing the
K-lite Mega Pack , but this has not helped.

Please can anyone tell me exatcly what i need to listen to the radio station on the link provided. I now the link works , because friends listen to it every day and I now it previoulsy worked on my computer and should still.

Thank you to any one who can offer me help.

Gizmondouk

Thanks for the reply , but the windows , or my anti virus norton is not blocking it. Ive tried with both fire walls turned off. On the radio 1 BBC website, it plays ok wwith the real play option , but nothing on the windows media option . I just cant understand why it wont work now , when it use to.

Pleaseeeeeeee , any help would be so gratefully recieved.
