Recorder to record cassette tapes to cds..

Anybody know a recorder or somebody/somewhere i can record an old cassette tape on to cd.please, please, please tell me.

Just get a Walkman and plug the headphone socket into the line in on your soundcard.

You will need some sound recording software like jet audio.

nah m8 i know that.but what i wanna put on cd is my brother who ain`t in this world know more ( if you know what i mean).and then i can put it on my walkman or whatever.And he pastover before i was even born so that`s like the only way i could know him.

ok in plain english

my brother died before i was born,my mum or he recorded him singing on a cassette tape we still have that cassette and i want to be able to transfer it from a cassette to cd.So it doesn`t lose qaulity and etc.And i basically need to be able to record it from cassette to cd like what you do with CDs to tapes.

Err, yeah... so get a Walkman and play it into your PC via the headphone output and line in input on the PC.

Then burn it to CD.

It's the only way and exactly how the people you can pay do it.

You play the cassette into your PC and use some software to record what is played in real time.

oh ok i think i got ya now,so i buy a sony walkman put the tape in and then link up to pc and then use the software and record what i hear?

Yup, that's correct.

Tapes are analogue so cannot be copied the same as a digital CD can.

oh ok that`s y i was getting confused then lol,so used to the usbs.so i need two earphones then?sorry to keep asking question just seems so confusing porbably simple but just semm so confusing.

You need a mini jack to mini jack cable.

One end in the Walkman headphone socket and the other in the line input socket on the back of your PC.
