hi all,i have a acer 9301 laptop and have read that the refresh rate needs to be about 75 fps to avoid eyestrain etc.ive checked on my control panel and found mine is set at 60 and i cant find a way to change it,even in the graphics card control.anyone know about these machines and if the rate can be changed.any help will be gratefully recceived,cheers das.

Default refresh rate

If the setting to change it is not there than your monitor/laptop display probably doesn't support that rate.

I'll have a look around, it may be possible to use some 3rd party software to change it.

Yes, majorgeeks is a reputable site, not tried the software myself so be careful with it.

I think it forces refresh rates.

Now normally you will have the option to do this in windows, if you don't it probably means your monitor does not support the refresh rate you want.

If you force it using this software it may bugger things up.

Personally I'd stick with your current refresh rate, unless your getting some annoying flicker or simular.
