I'm so sorry, where should I place this question, under software? I noticed someone else had, so I did the same. Sorry.
Even though it's one I paid for it can still be illegal can it? What would you suggest to be the safest & best one for me to use?

Yes it can still be illegal.

The ONLY legal way to download music is when you PAY PER SONG. Via iTunes or Napster or similar.

If a company offers a monthly fee they are doing so wrongly. The company that sells the song charges per song so it is impossible to then charge their customers a one off fee.

I would run a mile from that software.

You are aware how easy it is for criminals to setup a website then charge X amount for songs?

Answer very easy.

Be careful where you spend your money online!

Safe options are iTunes or Napster. Both big and well known companys.
