Can anyone tell me how to shrink a dvd file down to 700mb or less

What type of video file are you talking about ? ..... there is no such thing as a DVD file, as such .... a DVD is made up in a DVD compliant vobset, which includes ifo, bup and vob files .... do you mean DVD ot avi ? or ??

Shrink a video file


for avi, use the divx or xvid codecs. There are free tools or commercial ones to do conversion. Google "free divx encoder". You may need DVDDecrypter too.

If it's already in.avi format, what size is it now ? and what do you intend doing with the file, once it'sshrunk ?
