Default sky anytime

I use sky anytime to watch sky sports live on my laptop but for some reason today it has stopped working. All I get is ready at the bottom of the screen, when I click play it comes up please wait while your media loads and playing buffer image but after a second it goes blank and says ready.
It was working fine earlier and works ok fine on the pc.
Appreciate any ideas.

Ring Sky.

Thats all I can say.

Edit - Just realised this is not Sky TV, so that suggestion won't work.

Do other videos work?

Tried all that, sky tried all they knew then told me to contact dell who in turn did their bit and told me to contact sky.
I had this same problem with Blaze and the freeview dongle, unfortunately can't remember how we sorted that one out.

OK, this is a long shot but you can try downloading a codec pack.

Try K-Lite
http://www.computer-juice.com/forums...c-packs-15823/

You can also try running ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
ATF Cleaner.exe

Make sure that all browser windows are closed.
  • Under the Main tab, put a check next to Select All.
Click the Empty Selected button. (Note: if you remove cookies, automated login at forums and sites will be disabled. If you do not want this, uncheck Cookies)
  • If you use the Firefox browser:
Click on Firefox at the top and put a check next to Select All.
If you would like to keep your saved passwords, click No at the prompt.
Click the Empty Selected button. (Note: if you remove cookies, automated login at forums and sites will be disabled. If you do not want this, uncheck Cookies)
  • If you use the Opera browser:
Click on Opera at the top and put a check next to Select All.
If you would like to keep your saved passwords, click No at the prompt.
Click the Empty Selected button. (Note: if you remove cookies, automated login at forums and sites will be disabled. If you do not want this, uncheck Cookies)
Important: Restart the computer before continuing.

Caution! ATF Cleaner is a powerful tool and should not be used as an every day cleaner. Use CCleaner Slim for a daily drive cleaner.

No problem. Tell me how you get on.

I will continue to see if I can find any other reason why it won't work.

Sorry you had to reformat but sometimes it is the best thing to do anyway.

Windows just seems to get really screwed up after a while.

You might want to think about ghosting you system once you get everything sorted out the way you want it so as if you ever have to format again you don't have to re download all the program etc again.

Ghosting, never heard of that, how do I go about that?
I've got another one for you as well if you dont mind and have the time, s video cable works fine on two tv's in the house but on the one I wanted it for upstairs the secondary display is black and white.

Sorry for taking a long time to get back to you, I have been very busy recently with other things (harvest time on the farm)

Ghosting is when you make a copy of a working system configuration to make it easy to restore back to.

Some free utilities
http://www.thefreecountry.com/utilit...andimage.shtml

Norton Ghost and Acronis TrueImage are the most well known paid for ones.

I need more information about the TV to help really.

I don't know what you mean by a secondary display.

Could it be the TV itself that is the problem, not the cable, if it works on other TVs?

Thanks for reply serverguy will keep hold of that link. Given up trying to get all the tv's working with the s video cable, just very greatfull that it's fine on at least one tv in the house and it's an excuse to convince the boss we need a new tv for the bedroom.
All forums need members like you, who have the paitence for newbies with tired old questions.
Once again thankyou very much for all your time and consideration.

Glad you got it all fixed and feel free to post more questions in a new topic if you have them in the future.
