hi, i have a ei systems laptop.

i got it last year and have had no problems with it up to now, apart from this one thing.

if i buy a music cd from the shop, i will get it home and try to put it on my laptop, it rips fine, but when i go to play it it will open up internet explorer and tell me i need a licience to play it, if i click to get the licience it tells me i already have it.

it has got to the point where i cant play any music anymore, as one day an album will play, the next day it will do the licience thing. i am so confused right now, does anyone know why its doing this?

Don't buy CDs with messed up DRM? Or DRM at all?

thanks for answering, i am not very well up on computers at all, so i have no idea what DRM is.

i can say if a friend sends me music via msn or whatever they will play no problem, its just actual cds that i buy. the same cds will play on my boyfriends desktop, we use the same media players.

What media player are you using? (WMP?)

windows media player 11, also have power cinema and real player, wont play on any of them. i dont think its the player anyway as they play on my mans desktop, he has the same players.
