Default Is there a decent DVD ripping program out there?

The title of the thread says it all, pretty much.

I've tried one or two programs on my laptop that give me an AVI file, but it's very small dimension-wise and low quality.

Can anyone recommend a program that produces AVIs at a decent/high quality?

Many thanks in advance.
