You could also try looking at the manufacturers website of the PCI device and see if there are any drivers on there for it. However like redden137 said, it owuld help if we knew a little more about your computer.

Ok m8 two other things you could try firstly make a note of the drivers on the cd and then go the asus website and check if there are any drivers not on the cd and download them,
or do as before and go to device manger right click on the unknown device and then click disable
you should have no more "found hardware" after this but ensure your pc is stable before doing this
good luck

Reason i asked is because sp3 doesnt support the driver for high definition audio but sp2 does, so its recommanded that you install sp2 then your drivers or vice versa and then you install sp3 or you could just install from microsoft the "microsoft uaa function driver for high definition audio" and then re-install the audio drivers
sorry i didnt read your post correctly when you stated just sp3 thought it said 2

People seem to have narrowed it down.

Some of the existing sound driver installation is clinging on and blocking the new drivers from being installed.

If it were me I'd go to add/remove programs and remove the sound software - is it Realtek's?

In the control panel delete all the sound system drivers as well as the unknown bit. Anything you delete can come back in again from the Asus driver file after you reboot.

Then open the Legacy Audio Drivers and deselect everything there as well.

The reboot/re-install ought to allow your microsoft uaa function driver and your high definition audio to come in properly from the set you downloaded from Asus, and give you back your
sound software at the same time.
